HR is not only important in large companies. Organizations that rely on volunteers also need the right expertise to do their best work.
– The experience of using BUHR in our HR work is very good. For YWCA-YMCA, it has been key to have good help in assessing needs and finding the right employees for various tasks and projects, says Marianne H. Brekken, assistant general secretary of YWCA-YMCA Norway.
When HR becomes a time thief – and it compromises what is most important
Many managers know it firsthand: HR tasks are growing, but the capacity is not enough. This affects strategic work – and in the worst case, well-being, culture and operations. BUHR was established precisely to take on that responsibility and make HR a support, not a burden.

– BUHR has contributed a professional support system that enhances our work. It allows us to spend time and energy on our core mission: creating open and safe communities for children and young people.
One contact person – a whole team behind you
YWCA-YMCA has chosen to bring in additional HR support and uses BUHR as an extended HR department in addition to its own internal employees. The solution is scalable – with the right expertise in place when the need arises.
Since the collaboration began in 2022, there have naturally been changes in what BUHR has delivered.
– Over the years, we have experienced that BUHR adds professionalism and quality to the services they offer, which, together with our skilled HR employees, helps to move us clearly forward, says Brekken.

Results in practice: BUHR has delivered this to the YWCA-YMCA
Through the collaboration, YWCA-YMCA has received daily HR support, assistance with development projects and the implementation of a new HRM system. The help from BUHR is flexible, which is also reassuring for the customer.
– This has allowed us to use the expertise that has been necessary at different times. In this way, BUHR has contributed to the organization staying focused on its core business of building open and safe communities for children and young people, says Brekken.
HR that works – for all organizations
As a relevant and credible Christian actor in church and society, the YWCA-YFUM has taken social responsibility since the 19th century. They have created communities for and with children and young people, and are today one of the country's largest children's and youth organizations. Through open and safe communities in, among other things, Ten Sing, sports, Open Kindergartens and Forandringshus, young people are given the opportunity to develop as whole people.
YWCA-YWCA Norway is part of the worldwide organizations YMCA (YMCA) and YWCA (YWCA) and meets more than 40,000 children and young people in Norway annually.
