Opening a new office in Oslo – and looking for more colleagues

BUHR is now opening its own department in Oslo and needs more people to join the team. Among other things, they will be hiring an HR Business Partner at the Oslo office.

Do you want to solve challenges for a variety of clients, together with a team of committed colleagues? Then you should read on!

– After many years in the industry, I know the value of building a skilled human resources department with the right expertise. When people get to work on what they like, delivery becomes more efficient, says Bjørg Ueland, founder and CEO of BUHR.

Together with his colleagues at Tvillinggården in Forus, Ueland has built a concept for companies in need of HR expertise – instead of, or as a supplement to, their own HR department.

– HR is profitable when done properly. We have therefore created a subscription solution that gives companies access to a large team of advisors, in the percentage of positions they need.

Since its launch in 2018, many business leaders have opened their eyes to the services. Today, Ueland and her team have more than fifty active clients in the energy, technology and service industries, among others. And the trend is growing:

– We have hit a need in the market and have a lot to do, so now we need more colleagues who want to join us on the journey. BUHR is still a young company, and the employees are helping us develop further. We are a concept for the future labor market.

Will double the number of employees

With good collaborations for solid customers, and new assignments on the way, the goal is to increase the number of employees from 15 to 30 during the year.

– We will grow at a reasonable pace. The most important thing will always be to deliver quality, take care of those who have shown us trust, and maintain a safe and predictable workplace for employees, says Ueland.

– The tasks ahead are so varied that we have room for both generalists and those with specialized expertise in tariffs, analysis or a completely different area, and not least – all personalities!

– Valuable unity

Camilla Løvik Andersen and Birte Tjørn Wahlberg are both employed as HR Business Partners at BUHR. They have no regrets about the transition to the new concept.

– At BUHR, we are a large professional community that is passionate about delivering high-quality services, and with a common interest in transferring expertise to each other. I share my expertise with the team, while constantly gaining new knowledge, says Løvik Andersen.

Tjørn Wahlberg agrees.

– It's a valuable unity, we are each other's sparring partners. It means we can solve a wide range of challenges for customers in all industries, and it feels good to be able to do it with a strong team behind us.

Varied days with a broad range of expertise make for exciting working days, say the two colleagues.

– Working with HR services in this way is very rewarding. I visit many companies in the course of a week, solve a wide range of tasks and follow processes over time. The team works together, while I get to use my own drive, says Løvik Andersen.

From stall to BUHR

Entrepreneur Ueland believes that too many people with HR and personnel expertise are stuck in roles with little development.

– Many people are left alone with the responsibility, have to be available at all hours of the day, and are fighting against people who don't know the subject. HR is often underestimated as a profession, and employees deserve recognition for the work they do. Proper work can save companies from bad choices and large costs.

At BUHR, continuous development and competence enhancement are an important part of the job, she says.

– With us, you can work with the breadth of the HR profession, while at the same time increasing your expertise in the areas you enjoy most. This provides satisfaction, and also ensures that the team is updated at all times.
